Australian Rules Football
Introduction
Marist College has a proud history of involvement in AFL dating from 1973.
Marist AFL participates in teams from Under 10 (Year 4) through to Under 18.
Under 10 and Under 11 play modified rules, on smaller fields with smaller teams and no scores or competition points.
Under 12 to Under 16 participate in AFL Canberra Junior League with full rules, full sized ovals and in competitions with scores, ladders and competition premierships.
The Ist XVIII team participates in the AFL Canberra Senior League competition at the Under 18 level.
The Marist AFL Club is run by the parents with the help dedicated staff at the junior and senior schools with the full encouragement and support of the Headmasters.

Our own dedicated website is now up and running. Whilst in a constant state of updates and upgrade it contains all the information needed for those new to our game and everything you need to know to get started.
Our club news Letter ‘High Marks’ will be published there and all links to our sponsors and your favourite AFL websites, clubs and the Tipping comp are included.
Volunteers Needed
The Club is run by parents and those volunteering to help out are always more than welcome. If you would like to volunteer to help with Coaching or Managing a team, assisting the committee with the many support roles required to keep the boys on the playing field, helping with events.
