Junior School
Co-Curricular
Co-Curricular Program
There is a comprehensive co-curricular program which includes chess, band, debating, public speaking, choir, Wakakirri, Tournament of Minds and sporting teams. The involvement of as many boys as possible in these activities is encouraged. From year to year the range of activities may change.
Co-curricular Sport (External)
Marist schools have a long tradition of encouraging boys to represent their College. We continue this tradition and extend the opportunity for boys to represent Marist College in a weekend sporting team.
The sports offered are:
- Australian Rules Football
- Basketball
- Cricket
- Hockey
- Judo
- Rugby Union
- Snow Sports - Skiing/Snowboarding
- Soccer
There is a sign-on day for these sports and an associated registration
fee. Each sport has its own uniform. Parents are encouraged to assist with
the coaching and managing of these teams and may be called upon to assist
with transport, scoring, etc. Marist has a strong tradition of parental
involvement in sport. Parental involvement is essential in any club to ensure
its viability. Your son is the one who will benefit.
