The second week of Term 4 was a hive of activity in the College with over 400 students in Year 8 and 9 involved in peer-to-peer ministry led by Year 10 and 11, covering themes of simplicity, compassion, presence and fighting the good fight.
We welcomed guest speakers from Operation Christmas Child Australia, along with Brothers Tony Leon and Greg McDonald (via video link up), Sam Clear and the Archdiocesan Relationships team led by Lara Kirk.
The Year 8 boys engaged deeply with the Service Learning seminars that explored topics of poverty, solidarity and faith in action. Year 9 were challenged to step up and take leadership for their faith, in Pope Francis' words to "stop standing on the sideline and get into the game”.
The students in Year 10 and 11 stood up and shared their faith with their peers and creatively led interactive activities which included live snap chat and high quality drama, music, prayer and reflection.
