The ACT Careers Association recently awarded the Career Development Practitioner of the Year to Leigh Southwell for Excellence in career development service provision.

Leigh, the College’s Careers Adviser was acknowledged with this award by the ACT Careers Association, and it was presented to her by Chris Steel MLA, Minister for Skills on Thursday 9 November.

At the event, Chris Steel spoke of the labour shortages that we are experiencing across a wide range of industries and that the role of Career Advisers in our schools is more important than ever. This award acknowledges Leigh’s dedication, hard work and vision in the field of careers.
