There are two methods parents can use to report an absence (including a late arrival) by a student from either the Junior or Senior School. Before 9.30am, please:
Please note: In order to use the SMS system, the mobile phone number used to report the absence needs to be on file with the College.
Parents are asked to include the following information in the SMS notification:
If an SMS or App notification explaining the absence is not received, a text message will be sent that day by the College to at least one of the boy’s parents or carers.
For parents/carers that report non-attendance using SMS or the College App, there is no need to follow up by sending in a ‘hard copy’ note.
If a student returns a positive COVID-19 test result (either via a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or PCR test result), or if they are identified as a household contact or high risk close contact of someone that tests positive, the parent/career must inform the College by emailing covidnotification@mcc.act.edu.au
In the email, please include:
The College will reply to the email with important information and possibly request additional information.
The parent/carer must also report the positive test result to ACT Health via the ACT COVID-19 website. ACT Health will also provide stay-at-home instructions.
