Dungeons and Dragons Club

Dungeons and Dragons Club

Invitation for Senior School students

Brave adventurers, calm clerics, beastly barbarians, watchful wizards, rakish rogues, and fearsome fighters: welcome to the 2022 Dungeons and Dragons Club!

Our Club is based on a shared love of Dungeons and Dragons: a collaborative game of creation. We make epic stories of drama and tension, silly in-jokes together, and bring characters alive. We chance our luck with dice to sway the outcome of our adventures, and fall victim to the lure of shiny-click-clack-stones (aka dice collecting). This is a game for those looking to engage with the world of fantasy, magic and monsters.

As a Club, we aim to improve everyone’s skills: communication, arithmetic, problem-solving, and teamwork. Most importantly, it is another way to meet like-minded individuals and make friends.

We meet at the Library every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime.

Since our first session in 2021, we have grown to nearly 50 members. We have approximately seven campaigns (regular groups), a table for newcomers, player’s handbooks and character sheets to help get you started. We hope that students will make life-long friends while improving their literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.

We are looking for members whose imaginations know no bounds, ready to enjoy a medieval world where the fantastic is fact and the magic is real. If this is you, come join our band of knowledgeable and friendly gamers in the Dungeons and Dragons Club!

Yours in adventure

Mr Weir (an enthusiast), Mr English (an 11th level human fighter), and Mrs Osland (a lightfoot Halfling Sorcerer).

Since 1968, Marist Canberra has been a part of and had its footprints on the land of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. As a College, we acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we stand. We pay our respects to them and for their care of the land. May we walk gently and respectfully upon the land. We are, as Marists, an inclusive and welcoming community. We acknowledge that all are created in the image of our loving God and called to live our lives glorifying the Lord. People of all faiths, genders, sexualities, and cultures are therefore welcome and respected equally in the Marist Catholic community.
