Year 4 - Preparing for their First Eucharist
In Week 7, our Year 4 teachers hosted a sacramental Reflection Day, allowing the Year 4 boys to further focus on their preparation for the Sacrament of Eucharist.

Preparing to take their First Communion is a special step in their faith journey for the boys and their families. Families are reminded to register their sons in their local parish to receive the sacrament this year.
One session on the day was creatively led by our Year 11 Marist Youth Ministry (MYM) team.
We thank the Year 4 teachers, led by Mrs O’Connor, in preparing for the day. Year 4 were blessed to have Marist Old Boy Fr Trenton Van Reesch say Mass for them at the end of the day. Fr Trenton completed Year 12 at the College in 2007.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
As the term comes to a close, parents will soon be notified when their son’s Mid Semester One reports are available for viewing through MNet Portal.
These mid semester reports are a reflection of the boy’s efforts and achievements in each subject to date. They provide a wonderful springboard for discussions with your son and with your son’s classroom teacher.
As such, we ask that all Junior School families, log on to the MNet Portal to book a Parent/Teacher interview for next term. Parent/teacher interviews will be held on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 April via Zoom.
Our specialist teachers in the Junior School teach over 400 boys each week in their subject area and will individually contact parents of any boys who they would like to discuss or seek support for, for the upcoming term.
Head of Junior School Certificates
Congratulations to Kevin N, Finn D, Jake B, Felix S, Matthew G, Christopher T, Dashel S, Lachlan C for receiving their Head of Junior School certificates this week.

Winter Uniforms
As we prepare for Term Two, we ask that each family thoroughly check their son’s winter uniform items in readiness for the change of uniform after the holidays.
During Terms Two and Three, Marist students are required to wear their winter uniform, including their tie and College Blazer.
On PE days, students in Years 4-6 may wear their College tracksuit. The grey woollen jumper and blue sloppy joe style jumpers are not part of the College’s PE uniform.
College beanies and scarves may also be worn at recess and lunch. However, Marist sports club beanies are not part of our formal uniform items and should be kept for training sessions and weekend sports games.
Junior School Lenten Appeal Update
Our Junior School boys continue their strong efforts in raising funds for our 2022 Lenten Appeal for Australian Marist Solidarity. Last week, we had much fun in the Junior School as we dressed in costumes from our favourite movies for ‘Movie Mania Day’.
On behalf of all the Junior School staff, I hope that all of our families have a restful and blessed Easter break.
