Marist Under 12s Shine at 2025 Armidale School Rugby Carnival
An unforgettable weekend of Rugby, friendship, and community
Over the holidays, our Marist College Canberra Under 12 rugby team proudly represented the school at the 2025 Armidale School Rugby Carnival—Australia’s largest junior rugby event. It was more than just a tournament; it was an experience filled with challenge, growth, and joy for both our players and their families.
From the first kickoff to the final whistle, our boys played with passion, resilience, and true Marist spirit. Facing strong teams from across the country, they rose to the occasion with courage and teamwork, improving with every game. The level of competition was fierce, but the boys held their own and demonstrated not only skill, but exceptional sportsmanship and unity throughout.
Staying together at the Armidale Tourist Park gave our players the chance to bond more closely as a team. Whether it was sharing meals, warming up together, or simply chatting or hanging out at the Park, the boys-built friendships and memories that will last well beyond the rugby field.
The weekend was just as memorable for the parents, who enjoyed a getaway to the stunning New England region of NSW. Surrounded by crisp autumn air and warm country hospitality, our Marist families cheered on the sidelines, shared meals, and connected with one another in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. There was a strong sense of pride in watching the boys play with heart and integrity.
The event itself was superbly organised, with outstanding facilities, hospitality, and community spirit. The Armidale School team made everyone feel welcome and created a positive and supportive environment for all involved.
Thank you to Marty, Andrew and Cath who made this trip possible, and to all the families who supported the boys on and off the field. The 2025 TAS Rugby Carnival was a true celebration of junior sport—and a proud moment for Marist College Canberra.
We return home with smiles, stories, and a stronger sense of team than ever before. Congratulations, boys!
