Year 9 Footsteps Program for 2021
Launch
It was with great pleasure that the Footsteps program for 2021 was launched last Wednesday at the ANU Shine Dome.
Special guest, College Old Boy Lindsay Wilson (1997) proudly regaled Year 9 with his memories as a student and his challenges as a professional footballer in the Netherlands and representing the Socceroos at the international level. Lindsay’s clear message was for the boys to identify a passion in their lives and focus on it with all of their energies. Importantly, Lindsay motivated the boys to be fearless in the face of adversity and to challenge the concept of failure.
At the completion of the launch, Year 9 transferred to a Ninja Warrior obstacle course to compete in a series of physical team challenges for the glory of the Ninja Warrior Cup.
Congratulations to Patrick House for winning the first silverware on offer. Overall, it was a fantastic day, filled with great (muddy) memories and the momentum to participate in a rewarding program that aims to engage each boy to realise their academic potential.
