On Friday 31 May, 13 students received their Platinum MATES Award, recognising at least 200 hours of service in the community, and at least 100 hours beyond our community. We also had 33 students receive their Gold awards, which requires at least 100 hours of service and 50 hours beyond our community.
In total, we recognised over 6,000 hours of community service. This took place across a huge range of service opportunities, from coaching a junior sports team, to altar serving at parish or school Masses, to volunteering at Vinnies stores, and more. There are many places, at school and beyond, where our time and gifts can be of use to others. Let’s look for those opportunities and make the most of them!
