Emma Bolger
I am a career EA having worked in a number of Executive positions. I have previously worked in Australia and New Zealand. I have two young children and recently relocated to Canberra. I am very much looking forward to getting to know the staff and students at the College.
Geoff Bruce

I feel blessed to have been selected to join the Technology and Applied Studies faculty at the College. I have extensive experience in teaching K-12 students in both the public, independent and catholic systemic schools in NSW and the ACT. I’m looking forward to witnessing the growth and maturing of your sons here at the College.
Brianna Domanski
I am a primary trained teacher who is extremely passionate about literacy and intervention. I have been in Canberra for a year, having previously lived and taught in Melbourne. I am excited and thankful to be continuing my teaching career at the College.
Erinn Elliott
I am a Health and Physical Education, Food Technology and Hospitality teacher. I have previously taught in the Gold Fields of Kalgoorlie, gaining many lifelong experiences. I am passionate about sports, travel and family. I looking forward to my future teaching at the College.
Jaki Fraser
Originally from Cairns, I was a dancer in my youth and performed in many locally produced musical shows. After moving to Canberra, getting married and having three children, I decided to leave banking and go back to my original plan of teaching. I attended UC and taught for 14 years in the public system. Aside from my passion for education in the performing arts, I love to quilt, drink weak coffee, and go out to breakfast with friends.
Sarah Gavel

After 15 years in charities and higher education, I’m thrilled to be working alongside the Foundation, Old Boys network, parents and the entire Marist community to provide opportunities for support and engagement with the College. We love raising our three young boys here in Canberra, and look forward to a long association with the College.
Gerard Galvin

I am very thankful to be back teaching at Marist in the Junior School in 2022. I have taught in several Catholic primary schools in Canberra and NSW across all year levels, in Special Education, Physical Education and executive roles. My hobbies to balance life a little are sports, camping and cooking. I have had a great first couple of weeks back at the College. Thank you for making feel so welcome…again.
Morgan Holland
I am originally from Bathurst. I have previously worked at Good Shepherd Primary School and Miles Franklin Primary School. I have moved to the College to further my experience in different education systems and am looking forward to the challenges this brings. I am an avid golfer and am aiming to be down to a scratch handicap by the end of the year.
Charini Kumarasinhi

I am a Mathematics teacher and started at the College in 2010 and have been here for 10 years with a couple of stints with other schools in between. I am very happy to be back here again. Prior to teaching at Marist, I was a Maths and Information and Communication Technology teacher in the UK and Sydney. I enjoy spending time watching my two boys play cricket and soccer, and love to read and take my dog for walks in my free time.
Yat-Ho Lai
Before Marist, I had spent six years teaching Mathematics in Dubai at an international school followed by nine years at Canberra Grammar School. My vast teaching experience covers a range of curriculums from IGCSE, IB Mid-Year Program (MYP), NSW HSC to my area of expertise in the IB Diploma Program (DP). Apart from Maths, I have also spent the last nine years running and participating in Dragon boat as a school co-curricular and personal fitness. In my spare time, I like to cook a lot.
Michelle Mangeruca

I grew up in Canberra and have been a part of Catholic Education throughout my schooling as a child and now as a Primary School Teacher. I began my teaching career at St Clare of Assisi in Conder and over the years have been privileged enough to work at St Thomas the Apostle, Sacred Heart and St Bede’s. I am very passionate about Literacy and helping students to achieve their potential. I am really excited to part of the Marist community and continuing my career at the College.
Mark Mortensen
I am a Social Science teacher with 30 years experience teaching in the NSW state system in distance education and face-to-face teaching. I am originally from Sydney on the Northern Beaches but have called Canberra home for the last ten years. I have completed a Bachelor of Education (Social Science majoring in Geography and Economics). I have also taught overseas for a decade including Europe (in the UK) and Africa (Kenya). I am passionate about sport having participated in rugby and Hockey at various levels throughout my playing life. I am also a published and exhibited photographer with works being exhibited in London galleries and more recently, through the National Photographic Portrait Gallery in Canberra. I am looking forward to continuing my teaching career at the College.
Kathy Mumberson
I have worked in sports administration and school administration for approximately 20 years. I am a keen hockey player and also enjoy taking the dog for a walk up Mount Taylor. My family of four live locally and include my two children, one of whom graduated from Marist in 2020 (Rhys). I’m looking forward to supporting staff and the broader community as much as I can to fulfil the compliance tasks they need to meet.
Melissa Musgrove

I am a Science and Senior Biology teacher, who has worked for over 17 years in education in a variety of teaching and middle management roles. I have a particular passion towards creating opportunities outside of the classroom to inspire curiosity and love of science. Currently in Abu Dhabi, I have been working with Education Perfect the past two years in helping schools and teachers across Europe, UK, Africa and Middle East to provide innovative hybrid and online education to students in a rapidly changing landscape. We fly to Canberra on Sunday 20 February and am very much looking forward to being home, back in the classroom and a part of the Marist community!
Ben O’Halloran
I am a Health and PE teacher, born here in Canberra. I have recently taught at a school in Googong. I enjoy rugby and AFL. I look forward to my time here at the College and to see what sort of impact I can have.
John O’Kane

Having been an Old Boy, I returned to work at Marist as an English teacher in 2007 until 2019. After a couple of years away, I have returned excited at the prospect of inspiring Marist students with all glorious things English.
Matthew Rowland
I am in the Social Science Department and my main teaching method is Economics. Outside of work, I have a passion for rugby (league and union) and also Australian History, particularly the Vietnam War. I have just moved to Canberra from Melbourne with my wife and one-year-old son. I have thoroughly enjoyed Canberra living so far yet am always welcome to more recommendations of things to do. Please let me know if you see me.

Welcome back to Andy Lofthouse from his extended Long Service Leave in 2021. We also welcome back Leonie Owens who was on leave at the end of Term 4, and Tim Cook (Junior School) who is covering a long service leave absence in Term 1.
Best wishes to Nathan Ahearne (Assistant Head of School - Mission and Formation) who is on a second year secondment in 2022 with Marist Schools Australia and will be a Member of the Marist Mission and Life Formation team.
