Transport Canberra updates
An improved bus timetable that delivers new school services and refinements based on school and community feedback began this week, on the first day of term two.
Students and families are encouraged to check their school packs and timetables, if they haven’t already, which are available to view and download at the Transport Canberra webpage.
Beyond school services, timetable improvements include an additional 94 bus services per weekday including more AM and PM weekday peak services for key Rapid routes. There are no changes to light rail frequencies.
Here are some useful links:
Students can also plan their journey on the MyWay+ app or the Transport Canberra journey planner which is now updated with the improved timetables.
MyWay+ group account
Please be aware that the MyWay+ group account feature is currently going through testing and refinements. We are working towards a release of this in the coming weeks.
Please be aware that Coppins Crossing Road between Holborow Avenue and Hazel Hawke Avenue will be closed from Sunday 27 April to Friday 18 May 2025. This is due to construction on the Molonglo River Bridge project.
Public transport impacts
Route 47 will only service stops between Belconnen and Whitlam from Sunday 27 April to Friday 18 May 2025.
Bus stops within Denman Prospect will not be serviced during this time.
School services
Dedicated school services will continue to operate as normal from Denman Prospect.
This includes school services for 2054 (Mount Stromlo High School), 2046 (Marist College), 2076 (St Mary MacKillop College) and 2093 (Canberra Grammar School).
Students attending Evelyn Scott School via the route 47 temporary school only service may experience late arrival after the AM school bell. The afternoon school only service is also expected to experience some delays for the return journey after departing from Evelyn Scott School.
Students in Denman Prospect who usually connect via the route 47 are advised to arrange alternative travel options to access their school services.
Alternate travel options for Denman Prospect residents
Route R10 services to the city and route 66 services to Woden will continue to service the Denman Prospect region.
Passengers travelling from Whitlam to Denman Prospect can take the route 47 to Belconnen, transfer to any service to the city and then transfer to route R10 services to reach Denman Prospect.
