College USA Basketball Tour
Invitation to Information Evening
It is with great excitement and eager anticipation that the College would like to consider your son’s participation in the USA Basketball Tour planned for the December/January school holidays in 2023-24.
The aim of the Tour is to provide an opportunity for College students to be exposed to a unique cultural, educational, and sporting experience.
Objectives:
- a high level of quality preparation prior to the local Basketball season
- students are offered a basketball experience that opens their eyes to the world through their chosen sport
- to ignite a passion and genuine enthusiasm in the staff and students for the love of the game
- to develop camaraderie amongst squad members, while representing the College
- develop and embed a sense of Marist values in a broader context
- to expose the squad to a new culture and give them a ‘Life Experience’
- experience a 'once in a lifetime' chance to play in the home of basketball and to highlight the College at an International level.
All interested parents and players are invited to attend the USA Basketball information evening on Tuesday 14 June, 6.00pm, in the College’s Pavilion.
