USA Science Tour
Embarking on an adventure of a lifetime, 24 of our senior science students, accompanied by 3 teachers, set out on a grand science tour of the USA.
From the west to the east, this epic journey was an immersive learning experience. San Francisco greeted our students with its renowned landmarks – Alcatraz, the serpentine Lombard Street, and the majestic Golden Gate Bridge. In the capital, Washington DC, students visited a number of the Smithsonian museums, marvelled at key monuments, paid their respects at Arlington, and gained insights into the political history at the Capitol.
The highlight, however, was Orlando, where rides became live experiments and numerous physics concepts were used to unpack the “magic” of Disney World. Indoor skydiving thrusted students into aerodynamics and the Kennedy Space Center provided them with a firsthand glimpse into the history of space travel and the future of humans landing on Mars.
