Congratulations
Congratulations to all of the boys who were presented with academic awards for their effort, progress and achievement during the past semester. These boys have shown academic leadership and are a credit to themselves and their families for their commitment to making the best of their time at the College.
I know there are many other students who give their best but may not have been presented with awards. I have the greatest admiration for these boys who continue to work hard despite the lack of intrinsic reward. However, I know that in speaking with many of these boys, that the pride they receive in an improvement gives them great intrinsic reward and motivation to continue to give of their best.
As we progress through Semester Two, there is a prevailing sense that we have come a long way since the academic year commenced and much has been achieved under the most challenging of circumstances. When I look around, here and everywhere, we are so fortunate that the boys were able to seamlessly continue their learning. And when time passes, as it will, we will have an even greater sense of gratitude and appreciation.
Please continue to communicate a message of hope and optimism to your sons in these disrupted times. They need to be reassured, know that they are loved and know that this time will pass. If you need additional support or care from the College, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We can help.
