From the Head of Junior School
Dear Junior School Families,
Last Friday we celebrated the Term 4 Class Captains as they received their badges, we hope that they find their leadership role this term fulfilling. Thank you to Mr McMahon for organising and hosting our pastoral assembly.
This Friday the Junior School host our annual Mission Day, with each class running two stalls each. Sincere thanks to Mr McMahon for organising the day and to all of our class teachers and students for their efforts in preparing their stalls for Friday. Information regarding donations for each class and how to purchase tickets for day were sent out to families last week. Junior School students are reminded to wear their College PE uniform this Friday.
This Friday we also celebrate World Teachers Day in Australia. We are blessed to have such wonderful, hardworking teachers in our school. Should your son or family wish to send in a letter of thanks to any Junior School teachers/staff you can do so by dropping it off at the Junior School front office this week.
We also celebrated our Junior School defence students at last week's assembly. Ms Tracee Pfieffer our Defence Transition Officer organised a special badge for our Defence students to wear proudly at the College.
The month of October is dedicated to the Rosary in the Catholic Church. For centuries, the rosary has been used as a powerful manner in which to pray and ask for guidance in our lives. Often referred to as a “compendium of the entire Gospel” the rosary has been faithfully used by Popes, Saints and the faithful for centuries. Reciting the rosary encourages us to contemplate the joyful, sorrowful, glorious (and most recently luminous) events in the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus. As a Marist school devoted to Mary, the rosary allows us to follow in Mary’s footsteps as humble servants.
Car Park & Junior School drop off/pick up arrangements – Gate 3
Thank you to all our families who have been arriving closer to 3.05pm for afternoon pick up, it has allowed the flow of traffic to be much better on Marr Street this past week. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
