Mission Australia Youth Survey 2020
Friday 7 August
This year, Marist College Canberra students in Years 10-12 will join schools from across the country in completing the Mission Australia Youth Survey.
The survey is in its nineteenth year and is Australia’s largest annual survey of young people of its kind. With over 25,000 respondents in 2019, the Youth Survey helps schools, community organisations, governments and policy-makers to gain an understanding of young people’s values, concerns, challenges and ambitions.
The survey seeks to gather a range of insights into the lives of young people aged 15 to 19 across Australia.
Specifically, the survey enquires about sociodemographic information, engagement with school and post-school aspirations, personal values and concerns, issues of national importance, as well as wellbeing and sources of support.
New focus areas for 2020 include: mental health and help-seeking, discrimination, sources of support for job-seekers, and indicators of poverty and deprivation. At Marist, the survey will be completed on Friday 7 August. More information in regards to the survey can be found here.
